| CitiSteel USA, Inc., is a carbon steel plate mill located in Claymont, Delaware. The company was formed in 1988 as a wholly owned subsidiary of China International Trust & Investment Corporation (CITIC), an international business organization with assets over $20 billion. CitiSteel USA has invested heavily in plant and equipment, with an on-going aggressive capital program emphasizing product quality. We have recently upgraded and expanded our Shipping Department to handle an increase in capacity, and recently installing Automatic Gauge Control (AGC) equipment and Bar Coding capability. Our ISO 9002 certification was achieved in March, 1997. From the first heat of steel cast in 1989, CitiSteel USA has grown to become an important supplier to most major carbon plate users in the country. We serve such major markets as Service Centers, Railroad Freight and Passenger Cars, Construction and Material Handling Equipment, Metal Working Equipment, various types of Industrial Equipment, Construction (including highways and bridges), Mining, Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels and Shipbuilding. Our primary geographical market extends from the East Coast to the Rocky Mountains, and from the Great Lakes/Canadian border to the Gulf of Mexico.
